CHEM

CHEM denotes the European Union's thematic restrictive measures against the proliferation and use of chemical weapons, established by Council Regulation (EU) 2018/1542 and an accompanying Council Decision of 15 October 2018. The framework allows the EU to list persons and entities anywhere in the world that are involved in the development or use of chemical weapons or assist such activities, imposing asset freezes and travel bans.
