DRC

The United Nations sanctions regime for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, overseen by the committee established under Security Council resolution 1533 on 12 March 2004. It administers the arms embargo first imposed by resolution 1493 (2003), which since resolution 1807 (2008) applies to non-governmental entities and individuals, together with the travel ban and asset freeze on designated persons and entities introduced by resolution 1596 (2005).
