Iraq

The United Nations Iraq sanctions regime, administered by the committee established under Security Council resolution 1518 on 24 November 2003 as successor to the resolution 661 (1990) committee. States must freeze the funds and assets of listed senior officials of the previous Iraqi government and entities they owned or controlled, transferring them to the Development Fund for Iraq under resolution 1483 (2003); an arms embargo, with exemptions under resolution 1546 (2004), also applies.
