LBY

LBY denotes the European Union's restrictive measures in view of the situation in Libya, consolidated in Council Regulation (EU) 2016/44 of 18 January 2016 with an accompanying Council Decision, replacing the first Libya regulation of 2011. It implements United Nations measures adopted from February 2011 alongside the EU's own listings, combining asset freezes and travel bans with an arms embargo and restrictions connected to oil smuggling and threats to Libya's political transition.
