Executive Order 13882, signed by the US President on 26 July 2019, targets persons contributing to the situation in Mali. Citing ceasefire violations, attacks on civilians, Malian forces and United Nations peacekeepers, and obstruction of the 2015 peace agreement, it authorises the Treasury to block their US assets and suspends their entry into the United States. OFAC, Treasury's sanctions office, administers the measures.
