SDN denotes the European Union's restrictive measures in view of the situation in Sudan, set out in Council Regulation (EU) No 747/2014 of 10 July 2014 with an accompanying Council Decision. The framework implements the United Nations measures on Darfur created by Security Council Resolution 1591 (2005), providing asset freezes and travel bans against those impeding the peace process or violating international humanitarian law, alongside the EU's long-standing Sudan arms embargo.
