SSD

SSD denotes the European Union's restrictive measures in respect of the situation in South Sudan, consolidated in Council Regulation (EU) 2015/735 of 7 May 2015 with an accompanying Council Decision. The framework implements the United Nations measures created by Security Council Resolution 2206 (2015) during the civil war and retains the EU's own earlier listings, combining an arms embargo with asset freezes and travel bans on those obstructing the peace process.
