The Myanmar (Sanctions) Regulations 2021
The Myanmar (Sanctions) Regulations 2021, made on 26 April 2021 under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 and in force from 29 April 2021, revoked and replaced the Burma (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019. They provide asset freezes, travel bans and trade restrictions, including on military goods and surveillance equipment, to promote peace, stability, democracy and human rights in Myanmar and to discourage repression of its civilian population.
