The Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019
The United Kingdom's principal Russia sanctions regime, made in April 2019 under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 and brought fully into force at the end of the Brexit transition period. It replaced the EU measures the UK previously applied, so existing designations carried across on a single transition date, and it provides for asset freezes, travel bans and financial, trade and shipping restrictions. It has been amended repeatedly since February 2022.
